A Cornish Pasture

Continuing on from the inspiration of the ancient Cornish Hedgerow I then moved out into the pasture land to develop a fresh perspective for new work.

For the twelve months or so throughout the peak of the COVID-19 pandemic I really grew to enjoy the greater sense of connection that working with subject matter literally right on my doorstep allowed for.

Fuelled by daily walks and many hours of recording information in situ through drawing, mark making and photography a new body of work began to emerge.

Several of the works were made in situ and I used the opportunity to experiment with some fresh approaches finding ways to record through drawing and mark making, sound, movement, and direct experience becoming increasingly interested in exploring how this regular physical immersion into landscape was impacting experientially upon my creative process.
