Biography
Claire Winfield is an artist and educator living and working in a rural area of North Cornwall where the rolling pastures, sunken lanes, trees and ancient hedgerows are a continual source of inspiration for her work.
Originally from Banbury, Oxfordshire she studied for her first degree in Fine Art and English Literature at Oxford Polytechnic
and for an MA in Fine Art at The University of Gloucestershire, Cheltenham.
In addition to the continuing development of her own art practice Claire is also an enthusiastic art educator;
" I delight in sharing my experience and enthusiasm of art with others. Equally I have gained a great deal from the balanced exchange of ideas generated through working with students over the years. I know that teaching has opened me up to a broader range of possibilities and approaches within my own work as I strive to meet the wide ranging needs of others."
Claire is currently an art tutor working with Cornwall Council, Adult Education. She also teaches groups and individuals privately, online.
