I am enlivened by the freedom of the application process in this ongoing series of work. Pouring paint directly onto the surfaces allows for greater elements of chance to occur opening up a greater spontaneous dialogue between myself and the work. Through making I feel as if I am physically journeying along these sunken lanes observing the wealth of colour, form and structure. In addition the effects of the poured paint mimic the appearance of ancient trees and hedgerows very well.
