This is an ongoing series of work. These paintings are a response to my experience of being immersed within the nature of a particular season. They carry the energy, textures, colour palette and mood that are representative for me of that time. The starting point for this work are drawings made outside in the landscape. My particular concern is in finding the right colour palette representative of the season and also reflecting the mood, energy and feelings I have about being in that place at that time.

I then return indoors to develop the painting based upon the drawings, honing in on selected sections so as to further abstract the composition.
