I enjoyed a long overdue meet up with North Devon artist Brenda Jet at Woolley one of our favourite woody and hedgy locations.
It was really nice spending time outside in companionable and creative company sharing our practice and packed lunch.
Not ideal weather conditions but we managed a couple of hours in the zone and I enjoyed making a sketch, taking a few pictures and generally gathering source material. Meanwhile Brenda was really enjoying the moss!
I enjoyed experimenting with the photo software on my iPhone enhancing colours and contrast in order to mimic the palette of some of my recent mixed media drawings ( see current work Ancient Ways). Interesting how the drawings inspired the photos and not the other way around!
