These experiments are about standing on the boundary or threshold of a new and different world. They are a response to peering into hedgerows, the hollows of trees or travelling down previously unexplored sunken lanes or through hollow ways. There is a magical sense of journeying into the unknown and of experiencing the unexpected. These spaces present the possibility of becoming portals into other worlds.
