A6 Sketchbooks

I always carry an A6 "pocket size" sketchbook with me whenever I am out and about. It is a very important part of my life as an artist. I don't feel I've fully experienced a place unless I've drawn it.  In a meditational sense drawing encourages stillness and quiet observation noticing the details that would otherwise go unnoticed. I generally fill one book a year so looking at the pile pictured below that's about fifteen years worth!
